‘Best Job In The World’ crash website

Website crashed due to the flood of job applications. This is what happens after advertising one of the ‘best jobs in the world’ when companies are laying off people. Tourism Queensland’s “Best job in the world” campaign offers the successful applicant the chance to to live rent-free on the Great Barrier Reef’s Hamilton Island for six months in a multi-million-dollar oceanfront villa.

They are willing to pay $150,000 a year for someone to work 12 hours a month for six months while carrying out such duties as feeding turtles, watching whales and picking up the island’s post.

No academic qualifications are needed, but good swimming skills and a love of snorkelling, scuba diving and other water sports are a must.

www.islandreefjob.com‘ was launched on January 11 2009 for the newly created position of The Caretaker of the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef(The Best Job In The World).
