Web habits of iPhone users
This article was posted early last year on the New York Times before the launch of the iPhone 3G.
The study found that 58.6 percent of iPhone users visited a search engine on their phones, compared with 37 percent of smartphone users in general and a scant 6.1 percent of mobile phone users.
Wireless devices are everywhere today and users who use their mobiles to access the web is increasing in numbers. Wifi enabled mobile phones don’t have to use their 3G mobile carrier to access the internet. There are free Wifi hotspots in cafe’s, library’s or restaurants.
